Information used for your purchase
When you buy the Complete Field Guide, we store your email address, checkout session reference, amount paid, purchase date, and delivery status. Stripe processes payment and billing information. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Why we use it
We use order information to deliver your guides, provide support, verify download access, and meet applicable accounting obligations. We process purchase information to perform our contract with you; legally required records are retained to meet legal obligations. A purchase does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Services that support delivery
Stripe handles checkout. Google Firebase hosts the website, stores order records and private guide files, and runs the purchase email delivery service. IONOS sends those emails through our existing mailbox. These providers process information for their respective services and may process it outside your country. Applicable transfer safeguards and the seller’s final retention schedule must be documented before launch.
Cookies and optional analytics
Essential access cookies keep your download link available on your device. If configured, Meta Pixel loads only after you choose to allow optional tracking. It can record product views, checkout starts, and verified purchases to measure advertising. You may decline it or change your preference through Cookie settings in the footer. Your preference is stored locally in your browser.
Secure access tokens, download URLs, payment details, and your email address are not included in our analytics event payloads. Any additional page-view analytics requires separate configuration and an updated policy.
Your choices
Contact the seller to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, subject to records that must be kept by law. You may withdraw optional tracking consent at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Retention and contact
Download access links expire after 30 days. Purchase records may be retained for applicable tax and accounting requirements. The final retention periods and business contact details will be supplied before purchases open.
